Stress and little sleep do funny things.
In December I had to miss a class at Spacecraft because Winter in the Woodland preparation was taking up a lot of my time. I had signed up for the class already with that knowledge, so it wasn't a huge loss. But then this past week, I missed another felting class, this time because I've been so stressed that I completely absent mindedly forgot that it was happening even with a warning earlier that day AND having set up the kit to have it ready for class.
With instructions from Leah of soft_tako_felts and knowledge from the previous courses, I went ahead and completed the penguin for this week's class, and also impromptu did a snowman from the December class, completely winging it. And I did it on stream for fun, since I had not touched Twitch since mid November when I had a panel for the Royal Vegas Online event.
So I present to you, some screenshots from the stream and work in progress photos, plus the finished snowman and penguin.

Felting on the black and white on the penguin was a struggle, and I realized too late that I had made him very flat instead of the pudgy cute penguin he was supposed to be.... |
 |
Highlight from my stream, where I'm recognizing his flatness! Don't worry, I didn't jab myself hard with the needle, but I did keep count. |

Finished the penguin, and decided to do an impromptu go at the snowman. |

The finished two felted pieces- snowman with grey bucket hat and red x white polka dot scarf, and (very flat) penguin with green scarf |
I had instructions on the basics of the penguins shape and a photo to go off of, plus previous class experience, but it proved to be more difficult than I remembered doing it alone. Nevertheless, I think they came out cute!
