Why?
Why did I make this?
Ever since the pandemic hit, my opportunities to sell in person for my shop dried up. The silver lining in all of that was my gaining the ability and time to focus on new skills. So I dove head first into Zoom classes and started exploring different crafts.I also hype fixated on some and ended up purchasing all sorts of different projects. But now, as a result, I'm drowning in them.
My coverage of what I did in 2020 is a little disjointed, as Instagram was the only place I was really sharing anything, and it is not the best format for work in progress updates (that don't disappear in 24 hours). Thus this blog was formed, and with it the intent to share in progress updates for this gigantic pile of projects I found myself with at the end of 2020. I also want to share what I did last year, as I ended up not posting a lot of finished pieces. I grew up when blogs were at their height and really gained some comfort from them, so hopefully with the use of labels/tags and a little more informal setting I will actually make some headway with sharing what the heck I've been up to.
Sometimes, I will also share what I've done for my shop. My intent for 2021 is to be a little bit more spontaneous for the shop, and let my interests and whims carry me in a direction of creativity. I've been sitting on a whole lot of supplies that I just really want to work through and that I've been holding back on because I wanted make what would sell/what people wanted instead of just experimenting and having fun with it.
